Last week was a tough one for the Bollywood industry as many superstars that include Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Ranbir Kapoor, Tara Sutaria, and Manoj Bajpayee have tested positive for COVID-19. As the filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali was tested positive for the virus, the shoot of his upcoming movie Gangubai Kathiawadi has put on hold. Post that, the lead actress of the movie Alia Bhatt has also had to take the test but fortunately the reports came negative. Alia even shared a note that reads “I’ve been reading all your messages of concern and care. I have tested negative for COVID 19 and after isolating and speaking with my doctor, I am back to work today. Thank you for all your good wishes! I’m taking care & staying safe. You please do the same. Love to you all. #DoGazKiDoori #MaskHaiZaroori”
Now there comes a new update related to the movie. According to some sources, makers are planning to resume the shoot of the film from the end of this month. “If all goes as planned, then Mr. Bhansali and Alia are targeting to resume shooting for Gangubai Kathiawadi by this month-end. The remaining portions with Ajay Devgn will be shot later once fresh dates are allotted by the actor,” informs a source close to the development.
Meanwhile, last month on the occasion of SLB’s birthday, the teaser of the movie had been released and its has got quite a good response from the netizens. Although, apart from this movie Alia will also be seen in SS Rajamouli’s RRR. In fact, yesterday on her birthday Alia has unveiled her first look from the film. Lastly, she will also be seen in Jasmeet K Reen’s Darlings and Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra.
