BMC lodges police complaint against Lockdown hero Sonu Sood

The yeat 2021 has just started and it seems like it is not a good starting for the Bollywood actor and Lockdown hero Sonu Sood. As per the recent reports, Mumbai’s civic body Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has slapped the actor with a police complaint. The reports further suggest that BMC has filed a police complaint against Sonu for converting a six-storey residential building to a hotel in the city’s suburbs.

Reportedly, Sonu has not even taken permission from the civic body to run the residential building as a commercial hotel. The building about which we are talking about is situated in one of the most post areas of the city – Juhu.

ANI confirmed the news update as it tweeted, “Maharashtra: Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has filed a police complaint against actor Sonu Sood for allegedly converting a six-storey residential building in Juhu into a hotel without BMC’s permission.”

Meanwhile, for the unversed, during the pandemic, Sonu has become the hero for many as he came forward and helped thousands of migrants to return back to their homes. Netizens have appreciated his noble gesture, even the government has applauded him. The actor continues to help the needy and reach out to those in dire need. 

As per the reports in Money Control, Sonu has mortgaged eight of his premium properties in Mumbai so that he can raise the fund of Rs, 10 crores to help the needy people. His properties include two shops and six flats that are located in Juhu. His efforts have been recognized not only in India but across the globe.
