Akshay Kumar pays tribute to the composer Shravan Rathod

The second wave of COVID-19 has been brutally affecting the entire nation and it has even taken many lives till now. Now recently, Bollywood has lost another gem as music composer Shravan Rathod, of Nadeem-Shravan duo fame, passed away on Thursday. Reportedly, he was fighting with COVID-19 for the past few days. The death of one of the most renowned music composers of the ’90s has broken the heart of Akshay Kumar. He took out a moment and mourns the loss of the music composer from the music director duo Nadeem Shravan on his Twitter handle. In his post, Akshay even remembered his magical songs of the ’90s. Sharavan had also composed songs for Akshay‘s legendary film Dhadkan that people rejoice till today. Akshay even recalled that also.

Akshay’s tweet read as “Very sad to know about the passing of music composer Shravan. Nadeem-Shravan created magic for many films in 90s and later, including Dhadkan that has remained legendary in my career. Deepest Condolences to his family.”

As per a conversation with PTI, Shravan’s grieving son said, “He passed away around 10:15 PM tonight. Please pray for his soul.” Right after the news came out many of his industry friends mourned his loss. Apart from Akshay several other stars that include Salim Merchant, Shreya Ghoshal, Pritam and others also took to their respective social media handles to pay tribute to him. They also remembers his legacy in their posts.

Reports suggest that Shravan was admitted to the hospital after he has been tested positive for COVID. His partner Nadeem Saifi is heartbroken by the news of Shravan’s demise. In a chat, expressing his grief Nadeem asserted “I am in deep pain as I say this but my friend and my companion, my partner of so many years is no more. It has left such a vacuum.” Further in the chat, Nadeem said that he is feeling helpless that he cannot even say physically goodbye to his friend.
